God's sovereignty
Two things have made me amazed and so grateful at God's perfect timing. The first is how he kept all our loved ones safe with the bridge collapsing there in MN. All of us seem to know someone who had just been on that bridge before it collapsed and yet no one was on it, thankfully, when it did collapse. The second incident happened here at home for us. The pictures you see are of our house on the left, and the neighbors house on the right. Phil got up to start work two hours earlier then he normally does on Saturday morning and he smelled fire when he went out. As he was getting in his truck he saw our neighbors house was on fire! He was able to call the fire dept and they put it out very quickly. Thankfully, the house has been vacant, and since Phil caught it so quickly, only the corner of the one room was burned. The houses in our neighborhood are so close together I'm sure our house would have caught on fire too had Phil not been up early that morning. The sad thing is that they think someone did it on purpose b/c there was another incident down the block. They do have more police cars patroling the area to watch for the trouble-maker. I'm not really worried though because God is obviously in control. Man's plans do not control God's providence.
